  112. INSTALL/UNINSTALL AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  114. To install Printer's Apprentice, you need a computer running Windows 95
  115. or NT 4.0. We recommend at least a Pentium class machine with 16 megabyte

  119. This version of the software does not include the Visual Basic run time
  120. (VB40032.DLL) in the distribution ZIP file. If this file is not present
  121. on your computer, you need to download a copy from the Lose Your Mind
  122. Development Web site (http://www.igi.net/~btkinkel). You can also downloa

  124. from the Compuserve WINUTIL forum.

  130.         To install Printer's Apprentice 
  131.         -------------------------------
  132.         1. Create a temporary directory and unzip the distribution
  133.            .ZIP file to that directory.
  134.         2. Double click the SETUP.EXE icon found in that temporary
  135.            directory. This program will install Printer's Apprentice on 
  136.            your computer.
  137.         3. After you have installed Printer's Apprentice, you can delete
  138.            the temporary directory and the SETUP.EXE file.
  139.         4. We recommend placing the distribution .ZIP file on a backup
  140.            floppy in case you need to reinstall Printer's Apprentice.

  142. After Printers' Apprentice is installed, run the software by choosing the
  143. Printer's Aprentice icon on the Start menu.

  145. If you need to uninstall this software, use the Start Menu to select
  146. the Uninstall item from the Printer's Apprentice group.

  250. Printer's Apprentice, like many other Windows applications, uses ActiveX
  251. controls and DLLs. Our setup program does not copy an OCX/DLL file to you
  252. r
  253. windows system directory if a newer version of the file exists.

  255. Unfortunatly, not all application setup programs are as friendly. For exa
  256. mple,
  257. Printer's Apprentice was compiled with version 4.02 of tabctl32.ocx. If 
  258. another program installs version 1.02 of tabctl32.ocx without checking to
  259.  make
  260. sure it is not overwriting a newer version, Printer's Apprentice will not
  261.  run.

  263. If Printer's Apprentice does not load, check the version numbers of the f
  264. ollowing
  265. files located in your windows system directory. To check a version number

  267. right click on the file, select "Properties" from the menu, and click the
